Today we got all the way up to Meadows only to find they were still on lockdown due to high winds. The only "lift" running was the magic carpet but regardless you couldn't see ten feet in front of you. On the way up to the hill i counted eight downed trees that had been toppled by the high winds. On the Meadows access road Chris and i had to get out to actually clear out a pine tree that had shattered onto the roadway. After an hour of hanging in the parking lot the group decided to head back to Portland. For the first time in Greasebus history we made a full trip with zero snowboarding. It was an adventure though and the bus did a great job of plowing through the snow, over ice and trees, while battling the powerful head-winds.
